Farloft Flying Dragon

BlueKite was playing around and decided she wanted to go flying with me. 

So, she created this fun piece of artwork. 

Just print it, cut it out, and put it together per the illustrations below. 

How it flies depends on you. 

Farloft - Flying Dragon

There is a front and back to both pieces.

One sheet for three different head expressions
One sheet for the body

My legs are cut separated from the wings so they will fold down.

Four places to tape: #1 Tape - Bottom of head to belly

#2 Tape - Top of head to top of body (line it up with the outline)

Fold head down & body up: #3 Tape - Tip of folded nose and over back on legs

Press the wings down to give them a curve as if I were in flight

Give my tail a bit of a bend up, by running you fingers along the paper

I might need a little more weight on my neck depending on what paper you are using.

Theresa needed one neck piece when she flew me in 20# copy paper and
two neck weights when she used heavier cover stock

If so, just cut out another neck piece and attach to the neck on the belly-side.

Consider the way you 'hold' me and 'launch' me.

Nose up... Nose down... Straight...

Today is Appreciate a Dragon Day and in celebration I am presenting to you the

For a dragon, nothing is really ever easy. We are big creatures. My arms are long, but not quite long enough, so Kitsooki got out her magic wand and her tablet of spells to create this work of art.

A great way to celebrate APPRECIATE A DRAGON DAY!

My Reference Sheet

Last month when I tweeted, someone asked me how tall I was. *brow furrows in a frown* Well, I couldn't tell them. The last time I was measured it was by-hand and I was ten hands tall at the shoulder. I understand from my dear friend Theresa they no longer measure this way. *raises paw and inspects foot*

I also found out, when I said I didn't know, that the other dragons on Twitter had something called 'Reference Sheets.' They started sending me copies of their's. *shifts from paw to paw impatiently* They told how tall they were, what abilities they had, who their mate and children were. It was like reading a family history. It was amazing. *grins knowingly*

I asked Theresa to measure me. She took me out to the garden, grabbed her ladder and had at it. She enlisted BlueKite of Deviant Art to draw my page. I am so pleased to present it here. *puffs out chest with pride*
