The Pack Rat Mage

This is another one of the folks who won in the raffle I posted for a story with me. Bob wanted to see what would happen if Farloft's hoard disappeared and Clearair was left to guard the remainder as Farloft went off to search for the missing pieces. He had no idea how it would play out once my scribe got hold of the idea. *grins*

The Pack Rat Mage

“Have you seen that pearl necklace I received from Queen Sophia?” Farloft asked, as he came into the main part of the cave.

Clearair waded out of the thermal pool in their lair. “It was in the top of the silver caldron with the other jewels in your hoard last time I saw it.”

Farloft sat down on his haunches and gazed lovingly at his beautiful blue dragoness. “You always shine so when you are wet from the pool.” He shook his head. He needed to keep his mind on the task at hand, not his lovely mate. “Have the younglings been playing in the hoard again?”

“No,” Clearair responded with a frown. She sat down close to one of the volcanic cones and placed her paws above it to dry from the heat off the lava far below. “And, you shouldn’t blame our offspring for your misplacing something from your hoard.” She clicked her tongue at him accusingly.

The First Winner of... The Sweet Deal!

Haristaan by Kitsooki of Deviant Art

My friend, Haristaan, entered my raffle to have a story written by my scribe Theresa.
He made the suggestion that the two of us might rescue another dragon in his story.
Theresa took the suggestion and using her writing talents, she ran with it.

"The Encounter"

Farloft and Haristaan had been traveling together for several weeks. The old dragon enjoyed the company of the younger black. Haristaan was quick witted, charming and best of all he was a good listener. The younger dragon seemed to absorb Farloft’s stories like a sponge. He never tired of the old one’s tales of times long gone by.

Farloft the Dragon Reviews - "Pete's Dragon"

I had the pleasure of seeing Pete's Dragon today!
*grins toothily*

Theresa, my scribe and friend, knows the manager of the local theater and he gave her a discount on twenty tickets so I could wedge myself into the back row. I made it through the double outside emergency doors. Luckily the back row has extra leg room for humans. When I tucked my legs under the seats further down, I just fit.

My First Official Character Interview

I have done interviews with Theresa, my scribe, before. You have perhaps read them here on my blog, but I have never had the stage fully to myself before. *grins and ruffles wings in excitement*

Lexi Miles, a friend of Theresa's asked me for an Interview. *golden eyes whirl*

I was delighted to say the least. She didn't even get after me for doing my happy dance, even though I broke one of her potted plants in the process. (I am sure Theresa will buy her a nice new one.)

Anyway, here is the interview, the next from me, The Dragon Who Tweets!

SAVE THE DATE - Stock up on Your Summer Reading!

Here is a great offer!

I have raided my muse's hoard and this time it was not for chocolate.

I have altered her settings on her Amazon account. Yes, dragons can master technology. *puffs out chest with pride*

And, due to my skills, I have lowered the price of my 'Farloft Chronicles' to 99 cents each from July 29-31, 2016.

That's 6 of my books for under $6.00.

Get them before she finds out. *grins toothily*

The Justice Dragon- Defender of the Innocent!

I would like to introduce you to a new acquaintance, but I haven't really met him yet, I have just met his human friend, WR (Bob) Miller. *drapes wing over Bob's shoulders*

The Justice Dragon, or JD to his friends, is protected by his Nogginor armor. *whirling golden eyes spy helmet* I made the suggestion that I might be able to try on his helmet. He looks so handsome in it. I have never had armor. However, I was unaware that this helmet is part of his means to fight evil and defend humans.

Here is his creed off his FB page:

"Greetings, my friends. I am the Justice Dragon. It is my honor, and my pleasure, to protect you from the unsavory villains usually called Monsters. Have you not been menaced by one lately? Then you know I have done my duty.

Thankfully, many that remain in your world sleep in the winter, as I do. If an emergency arises, I will wake to eliminate the danger.

Now spring has arrived. I have awakened from slumber, fully refreshed and ready to engage the unnatural threats to our world.

If, in the meantime, you have any questions to ask of me, feel free to ask. My scribe will relay my answers, as my claws are too cumbersome to type on dainty little keyboards.

As always I bid you good day.

Vade cum Deo."

I apologize to JD for inadvertently suggesting an impediment to his defense of the innocents in this world, by his loaning me his helmet for a bit. *ruffles wings in agitation*

I have done my fair share of fighting and I am happy to leave it to the younger dragon generation, of which, I have no doubt, JD is fully capable of doing.

I hope he will consider me his friend and I hope all of you will check in on his developing battle against the monsters of your world.
